Life is in Session

Hebrews 12:1-3 “Therefore since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and the perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand at the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”

No matter what our circumstances may be in life, this scripture is the remedy to how we must handle everything. No one has suffered more than Jesus. But He didn’t let anything make Him bitter or cold or even give up. He knew where He came from. He knew exactly what His purpose on earth was, and He knew where He was going to end up. The author of Hebrews says for us to “throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” Meaning for us to get rid of everything holding us back from what we are meant to be doing for God. This could be your excuses, your fears, your worries, and even your bad habits. Get rid of all of them. Ask God for help. So you can run the race of life with endurance. Life is truly nothing to fear or worry about when you decide to run with God. It becomes a beautiful adventure that just keeps on unraveling right in front of your eyes. Living with hope is an amazing thing. You are excited to wake up every morning, and you live with the expectancy of God showing up at any given moment. With Him anything and everything is possible. You can start living your best life right now, because life isn’t waiting for anyone. Here are some ways I was able to kick all my bad habits and start living my full potential.

  1. Read, read, read. Self help books, faith related books, and women empowerment books are so good for you. These are things they don’t teach you in school, so if you want to know more and further your knowledge and skills, you’re going to have to teach yourself. All of my knowledge truly comes from books. One of my favorite authors is Joyce Meyer. She has tons of books on her website that could transform your life.
  2. Fasting to break the chains of bad habits. Some of my bad habits were things that were incredibly hard to kick. Start off small and work your way up. A little progress is better than no progress. Eventually I needed to fast in order for God to intervene and help me out. Like I’ve said before, with Him, anything is possible.
  3. Step out of your comfort zone. In order to get something you’ve never had, you’re going to have to do something you’ve never done. Don’t be afraid to try new things or even do things alone. That was a big one for me, but once I got past that fear, it’s become one of my favorite things to do.
  4. Ask God for help. Ultimately He is all the power we need to do anything, and if you ask, you’re going to receive. Don’t ignore Him though when He’s clearly asked you do something. He wants what’s best for you always and if you will give Him the chance, He wants to give you the desires of your heart.

If you will open up your hearts and allow your mind to explore, the possibilities for you are endless. I truly hope and pray that this was helpful to you all.
